Before starting i just want to request you that before seeing the answer please think on it.......
Question:- Suppose that you have dead battery installed on aircraft & some how you manage to start the aircraft( By using external power), than my question is will the battery charge from alternator or generator as you fly?????//
Answer : It may or may not be. The battery is connected to the aircraft electrical system through a master relay which is operated by master switch .The power to operate the master relay comes from the battery , so that if the battery is so dead that it does not enough output to operate the master relay the battery will not be connected to the electrical system and will not receive a charge ,even though the rest of the electrical system is operating properly...........Well if the battery does have enough power to operate the master relay then it will be charged by aircraft generating system in addition to the generating system supplying the current to operate the electrical equipment.
However The master relay requires only a little current to operate ,so the battery would have to be completely dead in order not to energize the relay.
